I CAN LIVE IS A MIRACLE

I was quiet late this morning. Pretty tired and I don't wish to jump out from my bed. To add more, the weather plays along too - a gloomy day. Really I want to tell a lie "I am sick" and no need to go for work but my devil side never win it.

As I was driving, someone on motorbike stop by my side and knocked. He smiled at me. For a second, I couldn't remember and slowly I traced his rounded face and AHA!!! he is my long long long time driver. He used to be my driver when I was a little girl. I've never met him since the day he resigned (about 9 years). He looked totally fine.

Just reminiscing the past together with my mom and brother over yesterday lunch. I still remembered blurry how I almost died for two times. I can live in this world is a miracle. For the first time I heard from my mom that when I was a week age. I fell in sick and barely inhaled. Phew~ lucky my parents hurriedly took me to doctor. The second time, when the nanny fed lunch to me. She must have not much  patience in waiting me to munch. I am a slow muncher just as you know. She kept scooped the food in my mouth until air couldn't find its way in and out. And I passed out. I must ever went to heaven but forgotten how it looked like ha ha ha~

I HAVE NO FRIENDS

I was planning to meet up with friends but couldn't because some of them had left for vacation and some already had their own lives as a married couples. Then I grabbed my phones, scrolled up and down to seek some companion. Saw from A to Z names yet none of them, I could contact to. Rather than being sad, it knocked my conscience which has been in sleep-mode I guessed - I don't make many friends within these years. Gee~

Where has "friends will always be there when you need them" all gone? I really need to get out and play last Sunday but they were saying to no avail. The whole day, I tried to beautify my Sunday by lurking on pudding and uploaded my spaghetti. Doesn't it looks appealing? It's a good thing that I found this social networking. Though mom always reminds me not to speak to strangers

All of sudden, I  really missed Italy. Ok…it's not about Italy but I too want to have my vacation. October shouldn't walk this slow. It's really killing me!!!!! to be a listener all these days.

WHAT'S NEXT AGAIN?

I'm a nespresso fans and this morning I tried to have Robusta home dripped which I've bought for weeks. The coffee smells so good and fresh. I was trying to unplug my electric kettle and PANG!!! - it exploded. Lucky enough none of my hands and body received any injuries. Later on, few of window curtains fell down in my room. Now, the outside of the world can see through inside my room. Haih~. Unlucky occurrence visited again, I was ready to leave for work and my shirt had some dirt on it. I had no idea where I got that and hurriedly changed my clothes. It's so creepy...I'm going to have an extra careful for today.

Oh yeah~ today I already have an appointment for haircut. Don't tell me that I'm going to encounter another creepy moment. That can not be happening right? let's pray for now~

IT TAKES TIME

Each months, I am quite pre occupied with budget marketing plans. There are so many upcoming plans which giving a FREE gifts for our customers. Most of the time, I feel insecure to qualified these proposals. They were handed to me, well written and explaining why their events will gain a double profits in return and "please" sign the proposal. By all means, no matter what, I have no other choice but have to sign the proposal sigh~

Pressure is not coming from there only. Recently, I am in charge in handling a new business which my dad boss wants to do. I'm still lacking in many areas about this business and so does he. He always complaints about this and that. How I should do this and that. Not only I had the swinging mood for the past 2 months, he also has it - throwing tantrums just about every minute every day.

And last Thursday, as I was dealing with customer, the head of warehouse; G - barged into my room and told me that he  gave up his position. I was like huh? of not knowing what has happened. After explaining how he was being treated by the Sales Agents (SA).  I understood how he felt by hearing those harsh words or treatments. No matter how patient a person is, it could be really irritating and will explode one day. But as a mediator, I try to be as neutral as I can be. So I advised him to play along with their games. Don't let the emotion takes control the situation but brain. "One day they might feel how inferior you are. Because you're not easily hooked on their silly game. In the end, they 'll respect you" I told him. I can't believe that those advice came out from my mouth because I'm an emotional type as well sigh.

Like my mom who had failed her Lontong at first, perhaps a little pressure, she nailed it now. Yeah~ I need to learn to deal things with my brain instead of being angry. After angry then realized how stupid and embarrassed for something unnecessarily to be mad of. Now, the question is how long I need to be patient?

DELICIOUSLY ATE MOM'S EFFORT

My mom over excited to serve us her new cooking dish - Lontong. Lontong is a rice based food. Normally people here eat them together with Sate Padang, Tauco or Pecal. My mom wanted to have Lontong pecal for lunch.

This morning, as I was reading morning news, sipping my espresso, she placed beautifully her Lontong on  dining table. From its color and shape, they were really so pretty and alluring. I kept thinking how it would tasted like.

Rushed home and couldn't see a glimpse of my mom's Lontong. Mom told me that she failed making Lontong and intended to give all of them to our pets. But that didn't stopping me to give it a try. Well it is true. It didn't taste like Lontong but hardened rice. I ate them deliciously even though she asked me not to eat them.

DAD SWAYED PEOPLE

Riots took place at most major roads in Medan. Everyone is in alert and afraid another tragedy might happened like in the year of 1998. The oil price issue might getting hotter each day until the date that has been set from government (1st April).

Most of my friends stayed at home but I still went for work and accomplished my activities as usual. But the roads and restaurants were so quite. I went for lunch; turned out I was the only person to dine in. It pictured me - I made a reservation for the whole building. ha ha ha~

I finished my Korean drama (The moon that embraces the sun) as I waited for my staff handed in her report which she failed. It was already 8 at night. I decided to let her handed in by the next day because I was phone by the dad periodically. Asked when to come home and what to have for dinner. I told him I would find some food in the house. To response my untrusted reply, he cook some fried rice for both of us instead.

Even from picture, dad's fried rice totally swayed people. ^____^

BREAKFAST IN AN OLD FASHION WAY

I could not remember when was the last time I had the mom's fried rice. Usually had this during my school days and lazy to get up from bed. So the mom would pack my breakfast and I would enjoy it during the break hours.

I still failed in keeping the sweetness yet slightly crunchy in my onions. Mom, how do you do it anyway. I follow your instruction; yet failed each time.

LOVELY SUNDAY

Last Sunday, I canceled my date with the mom *who is still enjoying her vacation*; This morning, Let's a date with the dad. Early morning, we already left for breakfast and borrowing drove with my sister's new car. Along the way to have our breakfast, as usual the dad is the one who talk the most *political*. Though I read news everyday, still have a shallow thoughts >_<

Before we headed home, the dad also showed me some of the properties which he will likely to invest. I really admire his strong will. Really i should have a little gene from him.

I was shocked with the whitney Houston's dead as soon as I watched TV. Because the day before, I shared some thoughts with my friends about singing "I will always love you" at wedding party.

Okay back to the main: I was bored by watching tv alone so I asked my friends to go out which they prefer after lunch time. And cooking just came through in my mind.

Looked over the fridge and saw the left-over green onion for making kimchi last week and decided just to have korean pancake *recipe: aeri.

Crispy outside, fluffy inside and less oil in my pajeon. It's good.

And kimchi to maintain my healthy life. *it's a kimchi which my brother bought from Korea. My kimchi is still in fermentation.

Okay I am off to meet my friends now. Have a nice Sunday ^___^

MY NAPA KIMCHI

I was challenged by my sister when she said that it is not good to consume too much preservative foods. to which I always had factory made Kimchi. She suggested to make my own Kimchi instead and I hope that no one would be sent to hospital because of food poisoning he he he~

I did my Kimchi at night (8pm) and finished it by the next day (2 am). It is indeed time consuming and works. Because I am a newbie and tended to look at the notes for many times. So no photos while I was doing my Kimchi.
I followed the recipe from Aeri. Her kimchi looks promising and I also wanting my kimchi to taste good. Wish me luck! *waiting for a week fermentation*

OUR FATHER'S FRIED RICE

Which side are you in? Father or Mother? he he he... If the menu is Fried rice, I am on the father side. The ingredients that the mom and the dad used are similar and basic - eggs, soy sauce, chili, onion but the taste is different.

Sometimes, the dad would add some minced meat or prawns. No matter what kind of version the dad came out. It always tastes great.

*last time I tried to photograph but the fried rice was missing. My sister had eaten it away.

Bird Nest Soup

Bird Nest Soup used to be not in my favorite dessert. Picturing how the bird uses its saliva to create a nest; was disgusting. I used to be a sterile-type hahaha. I could not eat or drink something that has been used by others. But that was all in the past though have some limited to family and close friends only hahaha...

Ever since I was forced to consume it many times (not because I am not healthy); I am starting to like it so much as I grow older. *knowing its health value more ^^

Bird Nest Soup. This is the mom's version. Less water more of its Yen-wo. Taste like jelly. Yummy~

Kolesem. *sounds like that haha*

Tong zhong xia zhao.

Ramen Bokki

Good Morning~ I woke up surprisingly early. Unlike normal breakfast I usually have - a cup of coffee and 2 pieces of biscuit and I am ready for work. Since I had plenty of time, I made myself Ramen Bokki which I had bought it for weeks.
Ramen Bokki - noodles in Gochujjang (red pepper paste). Just like in tteokbokki (rice cake) sauce.
White package - dried vegetables. Red package - Gochujjang.
Cook the noodle with 200ml of hot water, together with it dried vegetables.
As I was waiting for my noodles (4 minutes). Prepared myself a hearty fruits - Persimmons. This is one of my favorite fruits.
Finished. Do you spot any weird in my ramen bokki? hahaha~

I just realized that I should throw all the water and then pour in the Gochujjang, stir well and that is how Ramen Bokki supposed to be. I am going to try it again some other time and will upload the proper way in preparing Ramen Bokki.

Kimchi Jigae [김치 찌개]

The idea of cooking 김치지개 just popped out as i browsed some Korean dishes at Maangchi

Shitake , Garlic, and Onions. Cried a lot as I minced the onions.
I tried to follow every ingredients and left the poultry *it was an emergency cooking*.

a 6 months fermented kimchi would be even better to cook kimchi jigae. *Craving now~
A whole cabbage kimchi which my brother bought when he was traveling to Korea last summer.

TADA!!! My version of  김치 찌개.
It was not as great as the one iIhad at Seoraksan last spring. But it was edible to eat. Next time, I'm going to make a more spicy!!!
